One-Hour Photo

These images were initially created using a panoramic film camera, adhering to a simple process: I set up my equipment on a tripod and photographed whatever unfolded before me for one uninterrupted hour. The series title nods to the analog era of one-hour photo labs which promised fast film processing and printing. Each final image is an intricate composite, built from multiple (scanned) negatives that were exposed over a single 60-minute stretch. Moments accumulate, overlap, and dissolve into one another, collapsing duration into a single frame. Figures drift in and out, reappearing at times like echoes, their movements aligning by chance until they resemble a kind of choreography. What emerges is a compressed theater of everyday life—a tableau vivant—where strangers unknowingly perform together, suspended in a shared, elastic moment.
